Big Bass Bonanza!

The big fish bite we have been experiencing for the last 3 weeks continues. I fished with 2 gentlemen from Maryland today & and has been the pattern we started in some running water.
We caught 12 fish in the first hour and then made several moves where we caught 5 or 6 fish at each stop. We then ran to another spot and as we passed this area I had been fishing previously
we saw fish chasing bait, and then they came up in a school knocking shad out of the water. We stopped and anchored and proceeded to catch 34 fish from this area. Most of these fish were in the 2lb range with a couple near 3lbs. We were down to our last few wild shiners and they were huge baits, the first bait we put out set for about 5 minutes before a fish blew up on it , engulfing it, it turned out to be and 8lb 4oz bass, which was long and thin from already spawning out. The next wild shiner was bigger than the first one and did not set 5 minutes before another fish blew up on it, this fish turned out to be a 9lb 14oz giant that had also already spawned out. This was the largest bass of Bob's life so needless to say he was quite thrilled.
