November, Big Bass!

November 11, 2009

I fished with Bob Lyons & Jim Hicks from Tarpon Springs today, they both work for Magic Tilt Trailers.
We had a great day of bass fishing with shiners today. These great guys have fished all over the US and Mexico for big Bass, neither had ever been to Okeechobee before. We caught a lot of Bass today and several big Bass as well, as you can see. It was another day of great fun fishing.

November 9, 2009

I fished with Carol Devine and her grandson Wilson today, it was their first Bass fishing trip and they chose Okeechobee to experience it. We had a great morning catching Bass on shiners. Wilson & Carol both had a ball catching Okeechobee Bass. The wind started blowing 25 mph or more creating some big waves around 10 am so we called it a day. It was another fun day of fishing on Lake Okeechobee.

November 5, 2009

I fished with John Martin from Minnesota and Bill Hoewischer from Wisconsin today. The guys are members of a fishing club from Bonita Springs that has 140 members and they fish Okeechobee yearly with the club. We had a good day catching some very nice Bass on shiners.

November 4, 2009

I fished with Jordan today, we caught lots of Bass, but no big fish. It was a good day for numbers of fish, but not for big Bass.

November 3, 2009

Today was the Office Depot Foundation Charity Fishing Tournament held at Roland Martins Marina in Clewiston. Nascar superstar Tony Stewart was present for this very worthy cause, and of course to fish! It was a wonderfully run event and everyone had a great time. I had the pleasure of fishing with John Mullen from Boynton Beach and Gail Funderburk from Atlanta. We caught a lot of Bass, and enjoyed a perfect Florida day together. It was an all around great day for everyone involved, and a lot of money was raised for charity.

November 2, 2009

The season is off to a good start! I fished with Al Szczepek from Tampa and his friend Wally. Wally is from Chicago and is in South Florida for a Marine reunion. The catching was fast and furious for the first 3 hours of the morning. What a great way to start the month on November.

Today I fished with Aaron & Jeanine Tyger From Washington and their 10 year old son Bryce. As you can see from the picture big fish are coming quite regularly right now. October 23, 2009

Today was Family fishing day, I fished with Belinda & Jordan and it was a great one. As this week progressed more and more large bass seem to showed up ready to feed. Jordan has been fishing Lake Okeechobee since he was very small and today he caught his biggest bass ever, He is very proud of his fish, we all are. We caught a lot of bass in edition to the big Bass, things are progressing quite nicely on the Lake.

October 22, 2009

I fished with Bill & Gary again today it was a cloudy overcast day, but it drizzled on us a few times, but the bite was good so we hardly noticed. The cloud cover kept the bass roaming around and very active, we had another great day of catching bass on shiners!

October 21, 2009

I fished with Bill Jeneary & Gary Galleon from NC today. The guys and I have fished together before and always have a great time. The shiners were not safe in the water this morning! Every time we hooked a shiner and through it out, a bass ate it!
As you can see from the picture the bigger bass are starting to move in a feed.

October 18, 2009

I fished with Brian & Christi again today, we had our first cold front of the year blow thru and it was 48 degrees this morning, as you can see we still; caught Bass! The cold temps slowed the bite slightly but we still had 2 great day together.

October 17, 2009

Big fish are finally starting to show up! Today I fished with Brian and Christi from NY. Neither one of them had ever fished Okeechobee before and they were a little in awe of the huge lake. We had an 11 foot alligator grab one of our bobbers and Brian got to fight with him for several minutes to retrieve our tackle. We had a great day of fishing catching more bass than these two have ever caught before. Brian caught the big bass in the picture and shared with me that it was the largest Bass he has ever caught. That is a great part of the joy of being a fishing guide, helping people not only catch the biggest
Bass of their lifetime, but also to share the best fishing experience of their life.
