I fished with George Minix from Indianapolis In. and his friend since high school Mike Riffey today. We had a great day catching Bass on wild shiner. Fishing has been terrific the last several weeks and will get better as we approach the full moon phase this month. Large female Bass will start moving in the shallow cover areas, looking for spawning areas and will be prone to getting caught when they eat our live wild shiners. We have caught a lot of big Bass this fall already and the season is just getting started. With the condition of the lake as it is and the huge number of bass we are seeing it could be a season to remember!

I fished with Frank Pearce from Okeechobee today. Frank told me he had not been on the lake in years, he was impressed with the amount of native vegetation that the lake has produced and the sheer beauty of Lake Okeechobee. We caught so many Bass that we could only keep one rod at a time in the water, and we still ran out of shiners too early! It has gotten better each & every day!

We caught so many bass so fast we could not really keep track og the final number. I do know that we used up as many shiners in 4 hours as we have been using in 8 hours, it was a fantastic day of catching on Lake Okeechobee.
