I fished with Dan Kinsella & Bill McGowan from NY today, the day started like a house on fire, with bass biting on every cast, rain moved in on us and the wind started to howl until we finally packed it.

Today was to be day 2 with Tom & Jessie, Tom caught the flu-bug and did not make the call this morning, so it was just Jessie and myself. It might have been the fastest bite we have had in a long time. Great fishing (catching).

I fished with Tom Carnicom from Ohio and his grandson Jessie today, we had a great day together catching bass and yucking it up.

Every day on the water is special to me, but there are certain people that make some days memorable, and today was one of those. I fished with Jim & Robin Geisert from Ky. and they brought along Uncle Bog Geisert. Bob is a 90 year old World war 2 veteran, that flew missions during the war his plane was shot down & he was taken prisoner as a POW. There are not many of this incredible generation left and I feel honored as a Veteran myself, to have fished with he and his family today.

I fished with Corey & Sonya Hart from Ont. today, Bass fishingm is getting better every day, the big fish were on fire today. Corey caught two big Bass and lost 2 more.

I fished with long time client Roger Schroeder and his brother Ken today. We had a great day on the water. The bass are biting and it looks like the big fish are in play too.

I fished with Beryl Anthony again today, last time Beryl came alone, today he brought some new friends, Dale & Doyle. The fish bit well for us today, the wind was a problem though, blowing at 20+ mph.

I fished with Rich Fortman & Ken Ketzler from Indiana. The bass finally started biting again today, we caught fish from the fish shiner until the live well was empty. The boys had a couple of shots at big Bass, but the big bass won the battle as sometimes happens.

Today was day 2 with Brian & Fred, fishing pretty much stunk we caught some but not the big ones we are were looking for. The cold weather over the weekend really messed things up, tomorrows another day?

I fished with longtime friend/client Brian Reimers and his buddy Fred Kot today, the boys are from Washington state and love to catch Bass. It was very co9ld (36*) yesterday and the water temperature dropped 7 to 10 degrees overnight. We did not know what to expect this morning. the bass bit sporadically throughout the day and we managed to catch a lot of great bass. The weather is warm and the water is warming even more today, so we are looking forward to even better fishing tomorrow.

I fished with Lake Lytal from Palm Beach and his 7 year old twin grand-sons Luke & Jack. It was very cold and the wind was blowing 20 to 25 mph. I was very proud of the boys for going fishing in tough conditions. We had a great morning of catching, both boys caught big Bass, and they did it by themselves for the most part.

I fished with Todd Poe from Illinois today, The morning started with rain, then the sun came out and then the wind started blowing 20 miles per hour. In spite of all that we had a great morning together catching big Okeechobee Bass.

I fished with Brian Grave from Virginia again today. It was a dreary, dark and cloudy day with a light mist falling, perfect for fishing. The bass fishing could not get any better than it is right now. We are catching big numbers of bass and large numbers of big Bass too! Not only largemouth but Sunshine bass too.

I fished with Norm & Rick Akers from Mo. today, Rick gave this fishing trip to his dad as as birthday present, it turned out to be a great one! We had a wonderful day of catching bass from sunup until we ran out of bait, with a lot of laughs thrown in.

I fished with John Wason, Dick Slansky & Roy from Mass. The guys fly into Orlando each year for a company event. This is the fourth year we have fished together and I am not sure I can keep topping the year before. We left the ramp in darkness with 7 dozen shiners, when we got to our fishing spot we found that it was very rough and windy, but once we got anchored up we also found that the bass were biting like crazy! We caught over 50 bass and had a lot of laughs together, it was a great day, ya, ya, ya.

I fished with Longtime client Harold Finkelstein and his son Ronald today. The bass are biting all over Lake okeechobee, everyone is catching bass, big bass and numbers of bass too! What a great Winter, 80 degrees temps and superb fishing, wow!

Today was day 3 with the Appell Family, we caught fish at an fast rate on ce again, only today we did not manage to land the big bass that we had on. Three times we had big fish to the boat and they all evaded capture, just a bad day for catching big ones I guess.

I fished with Ken York & Doug McKay from Alabama today, two great guys. When we left the tackle shop this morning we new there was a front coming through so we did not really know what to expect. The wind was howling and the bass were biting. We caught fish for a couple of hours before it started pouring rain and the wind turned it up a notch. all in all it turned out to be a great day, although it was a wet one.

Don Harris, a long time client from Pa. was my client on the boat today, we got on the water early and caught fish from the very start. The water has warmed to 73 degrees and the fish are really starting to get revved up.

I fished with Joseph Semmler and Steve & Kyle Cooper from Indiana today, the morning started out fast, the first bass Steve caught was 8 1/2 pounds, the bass kept biting right on throughout the morning. The water is warming up and the bite is getting a little better each day.

I fished with Gray Galleon & his friend Mark today, as you can tel from Gary's clothing it was cold again today, we did man age to catch them better today though it is getting better each day as the water warms.

Today was day two with Ron, John& Jim. We woke to 30 degreee temperatures this morning which lowered the water temps to 59 degrees, it slowed the bite way down, Jim did manage to catch a big Bass but overall it was much slowere than it has been. The weather this week is going to be warm and the great catching will will resume quickly.

I fished with Ron & John Bridges and their cousin Jim today,it has been fifteen years since the guys had fished Okeechobee, and the weather this morning was cold and very windy. We managed t0o pound out a lot of good fish once again though, in spite of the conditions.

I fished with Dave Holhouse and his grandson Garrett from nebraska today. The big fish bite continued, Garrett caught two over 8 pounds. The smaller bass however did not bite as well as they have beenm perhaps in response to the high pressure front coming in.

Day 2 with John & Alexandra Bechy, today these two folks caught two bass over 7 pounds, an 8 1/2 pound bass and a 10 pound 2 oz bass. In two days these two folks caught 2 bass over 7 pounds, 4 bass over 8 pounds , a 9 pound bass and a 10 pound 2 oz bass. We caught lots of other bass too!

The water has warmed back up and the Okeechobee bass are biting! I fished with John & Alexandra Bechy from NY today, it was their first trip to Okeechobee and it was a fishing trip they will never forget. John caught a bass that weighed 9lb 1oz oz, then he caught a bass that weighed 8 1/2 lb then Alexandra caught a bass that weighed 8 1/4 lbs. It was an incredible morning, and should continue to get better as the season progresses.

After quite a few days idle due to cold weather/water we got back to work catching bass today. I fished with Harold Finkelstein and his grandsons from NY today. We caught bass. but not like we were before the cold front. The water warmed up 6 degrees today so tomorrow will be even better. Look Out Okeechobee's Back

The New Year started just exactly where last year left off, with Big bass and a lot of bass too. I fished with Al Dykes and his son Josh today, also Josh brought along Sarah his girlfriend and it was her first fishing trip. We caught fish from the moment we arrived until we ran out of bait. This lake is unbeleivable right now! I don't no what else to say about it! Happy New Year! Come to Okeechobee and fish with us and see what I and everyone is talking about.
